Nevidio Canyon, one of the prime attractions of Montenegro, used to be impassable except for professionals, but nowadays adventurous tourists can pass the canyon in guided groups with modern equipment. The canyon is 3.8 km long, but it takes almost an entire day to pass through, going as high as 450m and as narrow as half a meter.
The Komarnica river heads from the foot of Durmitor sinks between Boljske grede (altitude 2091m) and Lojanika (altitude 2091m), reappears in the valley, enters tannery among the rocks, and slowly becomes “invisible”. This is where Nevidio begins! In Pošćenje village at the canyon entrance, there are two glacial lakes and the Skakavica waterfalls. We can guarantee that you will remember passing through the canyon as an incredible adventure and when you finally run over, you will feel like you have won a battle with nature.
